Mumbai – Avni Shinde is a promising kathak dancer in the present young generation of kathak dancers in the Bay Area, California. She is one of the senior disciples of the well-known Kathak Guru Smt. Sayali Goswami. Her guru Smt. Sayali Goswami is a Gandaband Shahgird of Pandita Uma Dogra ji ( Disciple of Late Pandit Durgalal ji ). She is so fortunate that she is getting lessons from her Dada Guru Pandita Uma Dogra ji and Gurubahen Smt. Sarita Kalele who is also gandaband shahgird of Pandita Uma Dogra Ji.
16 ur old Avni is an American Citizen, a junior in high school at California.Yesterday on June 22 nd Avni performed at Kashinath Natyaghruh, Thane.
Started with Ganesh vandna, Jhaptal then she performed very famous Thumri Baat chalat, Marathi Abhang, ended up performing with Tarana.
